My true teacher and love
is Nature.
I feel so strongly
that we need to reconnect
with Nature and our
Mother Earth and learn to live
in harmony with her.

Mary Sue & Sweetheart in Taos

Mary Sue Comstock is a Certified Healing Touch for Animals® Practitioner. She is a life-long lover of animals and works with many different kinds of animals, including dogs, horses, cats and birds. She has studied and practices animal communication and is an active volunteer at Stray Hearts Animal Shelter in Taos, NM where she helps to rehabilitate dogs and does Healing Touch sessions for injured and sick animals. She also feels a special kinship with dolphins and whales and was very fortunate to do an internship in dolphin-assisted therapy on Oahu, Hawaii in 2001. She is an avid swimmer and snorkeler and looks forward to spending a lot more time in the water in the future.

Mary Sue in Hawaii

Mary Sue has a Master's Degree in Transformational Counseling and has counseled children, young people and adults in her work at a community mental health center in Taos and in private practices in Taos and Albuquerque, NM. She has also worked as an Aquatic Therapist with developmentally disabled children at Casa Angelica, a residential treatment center in Albuquerque.
In 1993, Mary Sue became certified as a Flower Essence Practitioner after going to Flower Essence Services in Nevada City, California for training in the summers of 1991 and 1992. She has worked with flower essences (and more recently gem essences) with people and animals for over 20 years.
Mary Sue has had the good fortune to study with Joseph Rael (Beautiful Painted Arrow), a Native American Medicine person. With Joseph, she participated in sweat lodge ceremonies and long dances, deepening her love for "all our relations" -- the plant, animal, mineral and human kingdoms.
At present, Mary Sue is very happy to be doing Healing Touch for Animals® and utilizing flower and gem essences and aromatherapy in her practice as well as using her animal communication skills. She continues to use her counseling skills with her human clients in flower and gem essence consultations and in her energy sessions with people. As mentioned earlier, she looks forward to spending a lot more time in the water and with her dolphin and whale friends in the future.
Says Mary Sue, "My true Teacher and love is Nature. I feel so strongly that we need to reconnect with Nature and our Mother Earth and learn to live in harmony with her. One of the very big ways that we connect with nature is in our relationships with our animal friends. It is very touching to me to witness the incredible love that humans have for their special animal friends and vice versa -- the love that animals have for their special humans. I am very happy to be able to do healing work with both animals and people and also to help foster an increased understanding between them."
